Amanda's Story #1

(Charecters are: Amanda, her mom Jill, her dad Sean, her brother Tame and her BFF Amy!) Amanda floped down on her bed. Today was the first day of school and it was 5:12 so she had to get ready. She put on her clothes and brushed her teeth and went into the kitchen for breakfast. She heard a cough, then a hack, and then somebody throwing up. "Mom, who's throwing up?" asked Amanda. "It's Tame, honey. He won't be going to school today." said Jill. "But, mom, today is the most important day of the year!" said Amanda. She knew she would have a hard time without him. "He HAS to stay home, that's the end of discussion, now go brush your hair!" said mom. "Ok." agreed Amanda. She went to her bathroom mirror. She looked in it and saw a girl with LONG brown hair, and brown eyes. She remembered today was also her birthday. A tear shed from her eye, somebody was sick on her birthday, it was as if her brother hated her. But she knew that was not true. Then she brushed her hair and headed off to school. At school Amy said "Happy birthday!". "Don't remind me." said Amanda. "Why so sad? It's your special day!" asked Amy. "My brother is sick." she said. "Oh no! I brought a cupcake for you." said Amy. "Thanks. My mom usally makes me a giant birthday cake, but since Tame was sick I didn't get one." said Amanda. Amy sighed. "Well at least I do get something." Amanda said. Then they hugged each other and went off to class. When she got home, Tame was still sick, a tear shed from her eye, it's like today was Tame's birthday not her's. "At least it will come again next year." she said as she sighed. Did Jill really forget her birthday? She went and covered up in her bed and drifted off to sleep. It was now 5:30 and she suspected Tame was not better and everybody forgot her birthday. That was true. *THE NEXT DAY* Tame was a little bit better today. "I guess that was enough for me to sacrifise my birthday." she said and looked at her half eaten cupcake, the last remain of her crummy birthday. "Happy birthday to me." she said glumly. Dad came in with mom. "Oh yes, Amanda! We pampered Tame just like it was his birthday yesterday!" said mom. Amanda burst out in tears! "Yesterday was my birthday!!! All I got was this cupcake from Amy. Sorry never mind I don't want to sound poor me. I got the cupcake anyway." said Amanda. "Oh poor thing! I'm sorry we forgot! And you don't sound poor me!" said Jill.
